We are a mustard seed. A tiny mustard seed has great potential to grow – dreams and hopes. Empowering, motivating and inspiring children in Cambodia are our missions fo
r the ‘Books for Cambodia’ project. Our aim is to contribute to the Cambodian society
by increasing the awareness of water issues with a children’s story.
Water in Cambodia is in crisis today. Most of the drinking water comes from rainfall and is
stored in a big ceramic water pot in a village. The local people believe that rain water is
the most clean water to drink. Local Cambodians have been educated not to drink wat
er from any source due to high risk of contamination. Drinking water is closely linked t
o everyday life in Cambodia and therefore not only would it be a relevant topic for the l
ocal people but it would also make it easier to deliver Christian messages. The story is
going to be in both English and local Cambodian, Khmer.
